The goal of the Association for Better Social Expectation (ABSE) is to create a society where all people can live a dignified, secure, and sustainable life. We work to achieve this through the following objectives:

Poverty Reduction & Empowerment

  • To build people’s skills and strengthen organizations so that poor communities can lead, manage, and benefit from their own development.
  • To unite and mobilize the local poor and distressed people, helping them form their own strong organizations for mutual support and solidarity.
  • To ensure safe water and sanitation facilities for all communities.
  • To help marginalized groups—including persons with disabilities, the elderly, and minority communities—fully participate in society and establish their rights.
  • To empower the poor to participate in and influence local governance and power structures.

Sustainable Livelihoods & Technical Support

  • To provide practical training and technical knowledge for profitable and sustainable initiatives in key areas:
    • Farming and Business: Agriculture, fisheries, and starting small businesses (both on and off the farm).
    • Health and Education: Improving health, hygiene, and access to quality education.
  • To establish community ownership and rights over natural and shared resources.
  • To promote gender equality and foster balanced relationships between men and women in development activities.
  • To strengthen community organizations and mobilize all members (male, female, aged, and disabled) to establish their fundamental human rights.

Environment, Climate Action, & Youth

  • To take action against climate change by promoting environmentally friendly practices and helping communities adapt to climate hazards like floods and droughts.
  • To protect and conserve the environment by encouraging sustainable management of local resources and reducing pollution.
  • To engage and empower youth to become active agents of social change, leading initiatives in environmental protection, civic engagement, and community development.
  • To assist disaster-affected people immediately through relief aid and long-term rehabilitation support.

Governance & Information Access

  • To ensure civil society and community members actively participate in all stages of the development process.
  • To create an environment where people have easy access to all necessary information, enabling them to understand and confidently claim the rights and benefits they are entitled to.
